(pt 2/2) Dr. Ambika P. Adhikari discusses a pre-business plan for the Open University of Nepal at the NRN Annual Conference in houston, Texas on May 28, 2010. Dr. Adhikari obtained a Doctor of Design from Harvard University, Post-graduate Fellowship from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Master in Architecture from University of Hawaii. He brings substantial experiences earned in regional planning, urban development, management, and policy development from USA, Canada, Mexico and South Asia. He has made notable contributions in leading international organizations like IUCN, World Bank, ADB, and the UN system, as a head of country office, consultant and government counterpart. Besides, Dr Adhikari is an active promoter of the causes of Nepal and one of the core proponents of Open University of Nepal initiative in NRNA. He is the Regional Coordinator for Americas at International Coordination Council of Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA), past President of Nepalese Americas Council, adviror to many community organizations, and a respected personality in Nepalese community in the USA and in Nepal. He works as a senior planner for a government in Arizona and is a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University.
